Working with Matter Teams

Milan Policy Center provides the ability to control access to information, including the following features to support your management goals:

Matter Team Security

In Milan, the matter team security feature controls user access to workspaces (matters), and folders. Matter team management in Policy Center allows for assignment of the appropriate level of access to specific users or groups.

Milan matter team access rights include:

Manage Team: Allows users to add members to the matter team, and includes Create Folders rights.

Create Folders (Manage Folders): Allows users to create and edit workspace folders.

Temporary Membership to the Matter Team

The Policy Center provides you with the option to add temporary members to matter teams, and to specify an expiration date for this access. For example, you may want to give this type of membership to temporary or night secretaries, and employees of the document process center. These users can be added to the team for a specified number of days, and then their access will automatically expire. The Milan Policy Service will update the status of a user at midnight of the expiration date, (determined by the time zone set on the server running Milan Policy Service).
