The Milan Recycle Bin provides an extra level of protection against inadvertent document deletion. When a user deletes a document through Milan by adding it to the Recycle Bin, Milan copies the document's original metadata, folder location, and security to the Milan database and updates the document metadata and security, effectively hiding it from all users without administrative access. Users can then view and restore their deleted documents from DeskSite/FileSite before they are permanently deleted.
Documents in the Recycle Bin can be purged from WorkSite by an administrator through the Milan web interface or automatically by Milan after a specified period of time. When a Recycle Bin document is due for automatic deletion, Milan removes the document from the Recycle Bin and deletes the original document from the WorkSite file store.
