Options for folder templates can be configured in the Config Section Template dialog, which can be opened by clicking the Config button in the Folder Template Editor.
When a user opens the Create Folder or Manage Folders dialog, Milan compares the metadata values of the selected workspace or folder to specified in the template filters to those of the workspace being edited and displays only the templates from the . If Milan finds a filter that matches the metadata, the templates that belong to that template filter are presented to the user. The type of metadata used for filtering is configurable with the following two options:

Note: While you must select a profile field for each of the above options, template filters only require a value for the primary metadata filter.
The following options allow greater control over which templates are displayed to users in the Create Folder and Manage Folders dialogs.

The following options determine which templates are available in the Workspace Template drop-down menu in the Create Workspace Wizard.
Note: Only templates with a mode of either All or Workspace Creation Only can be displayed in the Workspace Template drop-down menu.

If neither option is enabled, the Workspace Template drop-down menu will display all templates under the default filter that have a mode of Workspace Creation Only.
The options on this tab control whether users can specify a custom name for folders at a specific folder level. By default, only folders at the first level cannot be given custom names by users.
