Instances of Milan's Windows services, outlined below, can be managed from the Server Configuration dialog.

Milan Import Service |
Importing documents into WorkSite. Note: As of 3.5 Update 3, all Import jobs, including those created as provisioning jobs, are processed by the Import Service. However, index.csv files are still processed by the Provisioning Service, which then creates import jobs based on the document data in the file. |
Milan Policy Queue Service | Monitoring the WorkSite server for events that may trigger refile rules. For information on configuring the Policy Queue Service (PQS), see Configuring PQS. |
Milan Policy Service | Processing change events from PQS and updating objects in WorkSite according to Document/Folder Move and Update Rules. |
Milan Provisioning Service | Performing WorkSite operations initiated from the Milan web client, desktop client, and Billing To Milan. |

Operations | The types of operations that can be processed by the service if Service Type is set to Milan Provisioning Service. Only operations that have been checked can be processed by this instance of the Provisioning Service. Path | The location of the executable on the server that corresponds to the Service Type specified above, e.g. C:\Program Files\Prosperoware.Milan\service\Prosperoware.Milan.Provisioning.exe. By default, this field is set to the Milan installation path. |
In many cases, a Milan service will need to run under the security context of a specific local or domain user, which can be specified in the service's Log On As property. The Log On tab provides the ability to edit this property for new and existing services.

Account Name | The name of the account that will provide the security context for the service. If the account is a domain account, the account name must be prefaced by the domain name, e.g. domain\user_name. |
Password | The password for the account. |
Once the first server in a Milan cluster has been configured, additional servers can be added to the Server/Service list by either opening the Server Configuration dialog on the new server, which automatically registers the server to the database, or opening the Add Server dialog on the initial server and entering the new server's details.
