Logging and Auditing

Audit Log

The policy audit log contains a history of changes to policy user lists and policy system ACLs.

Column Description
Policy Icon Indicates the base policy type of the policy.
System Icon Indicates the system affected by the operation.
Audit Log ID A unique numeric identifier for the operation.
Policy ID The numeric identifier for the affected policy.
Policy Description The name of the affected policy.
System Log ID

The numeric identifier of the associated system event. See System Log ID in the Eventing Queue.

Note: Operations affecting Milan do not have a System Log ID.

Module The module where the policy was changed.
Client/Matter The client or matter affected by the operation.
User/Group ID The user related to the operation.
Operation Indicates whether the user was added to or removed from the policy system.
Updated By The user account that performed the operation.
Updated The day and time when the operation occurred. Time is displayed in 12 hour UTC format.
Reason The reason why the user or group was added to or removed from the policy.

Policy Event Log

The Policy Event Log tab allows you to browse or search all Policy Center-related items in Milan's event log.

Tip: You can also search for Policy Center entries from Log CenterEvent Log by clicking Show All Log and searching for Job ID "PolicyCenter".

Column Description
Level The priority level of the event.
Message A short description of the event.
Created Date The day and time when the event occurred.
Server Name The name of the server that logged the event.
View Details Displays the full event details in a new dialog when clicked.

System Eventing

The eventing queue (Milan.PolicyEventQueue) is used by the Policy Eventing and Background Services Service to apply policy changes to enabled policy system.

Manage Eventing Queue

Column Description
Icon Indicates the base policy type of the policy associated with the event.
Queue ID The event's unique identifier.
Policy ID The unique identifier of the policy.
Description The name of the policy.
Operation The operation that triggered the event.
Processed By Indicates whether the event was triggered manually through Policy Center (POLICYCENTERUI) or automatically via the Policy Verification service (POLICYVERIFICATION).
Updated The date on which the event was created or processed.
Status Indicates whether the item has been processed by the Eventing Service.
