Matter View

Here you can determine what matters are visible in various areas of Umbria.

Field		Description
Matters (Matter Performance module)	Matters with matter roles	If only users who are assigned a certain role (e.g., Responsible Lawyer, Billing Lawyer) on a matter should be able to see that particular matter here, select each applicable role from the drop-down list.
	User bookmarked matters	Select this checkbox if matters that the user has bookmarked should display here in addition to matters on which the user has one of the specified roles.
	User matters with time entries	Select this checkbox if matters on which the user has entered time should display here in addition to matters meeting the criteria specified above.
	Matters with matter status	Select each matter status that should be visible. Matters that are in a status not selected here will not be visible, regardless of whether they meet the criteria above.
Opportunities (Opportunities module)	Opportunities/Opportunities and matters with budget	Determine whether the module should show all opportunities (regardless of whether they have a budget) or only opportunities with budgets and matters with budgets.
	Matters with matter roles	If only users who are assigned a certain role (e.g., Responsible Lawyer, Billing Lawyer) on a matter should be able to see that particular matter here, select each applicable role from the drop-down list.
	Matters with opportunity status	Select each opportunity status that should be visible. Matters that are in a status not selected here will not be visible, regardless of whether they meet the criteria above.
	User bookmarked matters	Select this checkbox if matters that the user has bookmarked should display here in addition to matters on which the user has one of the specified roles.

Dashboard (Umbria landing page)	Matters with matter roles	If only users who are assigned a certain role (e.g., Responsible Lawyer, Billing Lawyer) on a matter should be able to see that particular matter here, select each applicable role from the drop-down list.

My Budgets (Budgets list accessible from Home menu)	Matters with matter roles	If only users who are assigned a certain role (e.g., Responsible Lawyer, Billing Lawyer) on a matter should be able to see that particular matter here, select each applicable role from the drop-down list.

My Reports (Reports list accessible from Home menu)	Matters with matter roles	Can select the roles to display matters by. Available roles: Administrator, Billing Lawyer, Matter Manager, Member, Originating Lawyer, Owner, Responsible Lawyer. Use the drop-down box to select roles that matters must match in order to be displayed on the Dashboard on the My Reports page.
	User bookmarked matters	Select this checkbox if matters that the user has bookmarked should display here in addition to matters on which the user has one of the specified roles.
	User matters with time entries	Select this checkbox if matters on which the user has entered time should display here in addition to matters meeting the criteria specified above.

Company Preview Search	Company Preview with matter status	Select each matter status that should be visible. Matters that are in a status not selected here will not be visible, regardless of whether they meet the criteria above.
Client Performance Search	Use Stored Procedure Search	Check this box to execute the new stored procedure added to expedite the Client Performance Search results and page load time.
	Matters with matter roles	If only users who are assigned a certain role (e.g., Responsible Lawyer, Billing Lawyer) on a matter should be able to see that particular matter here, select each applicable role from the drop-down list.
	Client roles	Can select the roles to display matters by. Available client roles: Billing Lawyer, Director, Knows People at Company, Officer, Originating Lawyer, Personal Connection, Related to Company, Responsible Lawyer, or Sub-Client.
	Matters with matter status	Select each matter status that should be visible. Matters that are in a status not selected here will not be visible, regardless of whether they meet the criteria above.

Note: To restrict the matter view (Matter Role drop-down in the search page) as per the options here, uncheck the permission for Admin: Permission Group: Global> Search without checking role on the client/matter
