SMTP Settings

If your email server is SMTP-based, complete this section.

You can click the Test button in the bottom right corner of the screen to verify that all settings are valid. A pop-up message will display letting you know if the validation was successful or what issues, if any, were encountered.

Field Description
SMTP Server Type the URL for server, e.g. smtp.office365.com.
Port Defaults to 25 for internal communications. Can be changed for external communication, if needed.
SMTP Username/SMTP Password Login credentials used to access server.
Use SSL Select this check-box, if Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) is turned on.
Default Sender

Enter the email address that will appear as the sender on internal communications.

Subject Prefix Enter any text that will precede the subject line of internal communications (e.g., Umbria Notification:).
Enable SMTP Relay

Select this check-box if the server should be able to accept and then resend messages to recipients on another server.
