Profitability Target Import

Profit per partner calculations and KPIs in Umbria require import of target hours in addition to cost rates. Importing profitability targets is done from Microsoft Excel on the Umbria Admin panel. Targets could include collected, billable, and/or entered hours.

Microsoft Excel Import

To import profitability via Excel:

1. Access the Admin Panel.
2. Click the Targets node within the Profitability folder.
3. Click Excel on the toolbar and select Import. A pop-up box appears.
4. Click Download Sample Excel to get an Excel template containing the required columns.
5. After entering information in the fields and saving a copy of the file, click Browse... and select your spreadsheet.
6. Click Send to import the data.

Required Data for Import

The following columns are required when importing profitability data:

• DepartmentName, OfficeName, FeeEarnerClassName, or PersonName
• Currency
• EffectiveDate
• Target hours/amounts

Data is imported into the GL.Target table and also stored in the Caliban.MatterProfitabilityStatistic table.
