  Folders Select Metadata

Opens the Select Folder Metadata dialog, which allows you to specify which metadata fields can be applied to folders created by the import job. Default values for this option are saved per database/cabinet and are initially set to include the following fields:

  • Work: Custom1, Custom2, Class, and Subclass
  • NetDocuments: None

Note: If you do not select any attributes for a NetDocuments cabinet, folders created by the job will automatically inherit their parents' profile.

Create Root Folder Recreate the top level source folder in the DMS if a destination is specified for the root folder. If the target for the top level folder is a workspace, this option is enabled by default and cannot be disabled.
Recreate Folder Structure

If a destination is set for a folder in the import job, create its subfolders in the DMS before importing the documents to the appropriate folders. When this option is disabled, all documents in a source folder and its subfolders are directly imported to the destination.

Note: If a folder with the same name already exists in the destination, documents will be imported into the existing folder. However, any metadata associated with the folder will not be overwritten.

Validation Check Metadata Validates metadata values in the job grid with those in your DMS. After validation completes, invalid values in the job grid are highlighted in red.
Show Properties/Attributes Toggles the visibility of metadata columns in the job grid.
Options Options Opens the Import Options dialog, which allows you to configure job-related settings.
