Installing the Milan Client and Standalone Applications

• All Milan client applications require that .NET Framework 4 be installed before installation.
• In order for DeskSite/FileSite Integration to work properly, FileSite or DeskSite 8.5 SP1 or later must be installed on the client machine.
• The following application-specific requirements are installed as needed by the installer and do not need to be manually installed prior to setup.

  • VSTO Runtime 2010 (required by Excel Addin)

  • SQL Server 2012 System CLR Types (required by Consolidator)

Note: Desktop Import/Export and Consolidator do not require access to a Milan server.

To install DeskSite/FileSite Integration, Litigator, Excel Addin, Desktop Import/Export, or NrlHandler:

1. Navigate to your download folder and double-click the installer, which should be named Prosperoware.Milan.ClientInstaller33TC235.exe.
2. On the Prosperoware Milan Client Setup screen, check "I agree to the license terms and conditions" and click Install.
3. After processing completes, a separate dialog, Prosperoware.Milan.Client - 3.3.235.288 Setup, will appear. Click Next on this screen to proceed to the End-User License Agreement.
4. Check "I accept the terms in the License Agreement" and click Next.
5. On the Custom Setup screen, click the items you would like to install and select "Will be installed on local hard drive". After all desired components have been selected, click Next. If you are not installing Desktop Import/Export, skip to step seven.
6. On the License Information screen, click Browse to open a file browser. Navigate to the location of the license key file (license.xml) provided by Prosperoware, select it, and click Open. After the installer validates the license key, click Next.
7. If you are installing Excel Addin, NrlHandler, or Litigator, or plan on using DeskSite/FileSite Integration, on the Information About URLs screen, enter your Milan base URL, which is in the format http://MilanServerName/milan/clientpages,
8. If you are installing NrlHandler and use Zone, enter your Zone base URL; otherwise, do not edit the Zone base URL.
9. Click Next to proceed to the Destination Folder screen. If you do not need to change the default install path (C:\Program Files\Prosperoware.Milan), click Next; otherwise, click Change and select your preferred location.
10. If you are comfortable with all of your selections, click Install to begin copying files.
11. If no issues were encountered during the install, the setup wizard will display "Completed Prosperoware.Milan.Client - 3.3.235.288 Setup". If, however, the installer does encounter an error while copying files, an error message will be displayed.
12. Click Finish to close the setup wizard and then Close to exit the installer.

To install Consolidator:

1. Navigate to your download folder and double-click the installer, which should be named Prosperoware.Milan.ConsolidatorInstaller33TC235.exe.
2. On the Prosperoware Milan Consolidator Setup screen, check "I agree to the license terms and conditions" and click Install.
3. After processing completes, a separate dialog, Prosperoware.Milan.Client - 3.3.235.288 Setup, will appear. Click Next on this screen to proceed to the End-User License Agreement.
4. Check "I accept the terms in the License Agreement" and click Next.
5. On the License Information screen, click Browse to open a file browser. Navigate to the location of the license key file (license.xml) provided by Prosperoware, select it, and click Open. After the installer validates the license key, click Next to proceed to the Destination Folder screen.
6. To install to the default location (C:\Program Files (x86)\Prosperoware.Milan.Consolidator\), click Next. To specify a different install folder, click Change, navigate to your preferred folder, and click OK.
7. On the "Ready to Install Prosperoware Consolidator 3.3.235.288" screen, click Install to begin copying files.
8. If no issues were encountered during the install, the setup wizard will display "Completed the Prosperoware Consolidator 3.3.235.288 Setup Wizard".
9. Click Finish to close the setup wizard and then Close to exit the installer.
