The Pricing Model tab allows the management of the matter's pricing models. Pricing models are initially created on the Request Matter Plan wizard or Create Budget wizard. Among other options on the tab, you can create new pricing models, edit existing models, delete, activate, lock/unlock, and view a comparison of the models.
Access the Pricing Model tab by selecting an opportunity/matter from the Pricing Dashboard or matter/opportunity → Planning → Pricing Model tab.

Deletes the selected model. Click OK to confirm deletion. Note: You cannot delete a locked pricing model. The Delete option is disabled. You will have to unlock the pricing model to delete it. |
Activate | Turns a selected model with a status of Candidate, Alt. Outcome, or Recommended to the status of Active. This would be the preferred/used model. Click OK to confirm activation. |
Lock |
Locks the selected model for editing. Click OK to confirm lock. A locked pricing model shows a small lock icon Note: No changes can be made to a pricing model once it is locked. To make changes, you need to create a new version of the budget. |

Copy | Makes a copy of an existing model. When copying a pricing model, both models are still available on the tab. For instructions, refer to Copying a Pricing Model. |
New Version | Unlike copying a pricing model, creating a new version overrides the existing version. Only the new version will be available on the budget's Pricing Model tab. You can, however, view version history. For instructions, refer to Creating a New Pricing Model Version. |
Copy to New Matter | Copies the selected pricing model to another matter. For instructions, refer to Copying a Pricing Model to a New Matter. |
History |
For models with multiple versions, displays the selected model's version history. Click the Model Version arrow on the top left of the screen to select the desired version. Tip: To exit the version history view, click the X on the top right corner of the yellow History message box. Other options may not be available in this view. |
Compare Models |
For multiple models, opens a grid that provides a side-by-side comparison of the models. Versions of the models can also be selected. Select Export to PDF on the top right of the window to export the comparison to a PDF document. Tip: You can show / hide the Collected Realization on the Compare Model screen for various users. A wizard guides you through creating a new pricing (budget) model. The wizard comprises of three tabs: Model, Phases, and Arrangements. The tabs and their fields are described below. You will be prompted to click Next to move from one tab to the next. You can also click Prev to move to the previous tab. When you finish, click Save.
To create a new pricing model:

To copy a pricing model:
Tip: You can also copy a pricing model by clicking in the top right corner of the pricing model and selecting Copy.
To create a new pricing model version:
Enter a name for the new version in the Model Name field. The Version automatically populates and cannot be overridden.
To copy a pricing model to a new matter:
When you are viewing all pricing models for a matter (Model filter → All Models), you can select to open the overview and details of a specific model.
To display the summary of a pricing model from All Modes:

The page displays an Overview of the pricing model to the left of the screen and the details of the model on the following tabs: By Resource, Detailed, Rates, Waterfall Chart and Profitability KPI tabs. Refer to About Planning for details on each tab.
