About Editing Budgets
Click any of the links from the Pricing dashboard to open the budget detail screen. By default, the screen displays all pricing models proposed for this matter, but you can use the Model filter to view information for a particular model only.
For All Model, the Inputs panel displays on the left side of the screen. Click the pencil icon to modify any of the following information:
- Scope of Work: Free-text description of the expected work, to assist Pricing team in approving budget.
- Proposed Fee Arrangement Type: Select a fee arrangement type from the drop-down list.
- Proposed Fee Arrangement Description: Additional information regarding the proposed fee arrangement.
- Estimated Fees at Standard Rate: Amount estimated for this budget if using firm standard rate card.
- Proposed Fee Amount: Amount proposed for this budget with client- or matter-specific rate adjustments taken into account.
- Anticipated Leverage: Anticipated ratio of non-Partner to Partner hours to be worked on this budget.
- Other Related Information: Any additional details to assist in decision-making for budgeting this matter.
For Active Budget, the Overview panel displays on the left side of the screen.
- Period: Start and End date for the matter
- Budget Start Date: Start date for the Budget
- Total Fees (Estimated Effort): Total Amount estimated for the matter
- Budget Amount: Total amount budgeted for the matter.
- Total Hours: Total Hours estimated for the matter
- Average Rate: Total Budgeted Amount / Total Budgeted Hours
- Profit Margin: Budgeted Revenue - Total Cost *100
- Realization: Budgeted Revenue realized against Firm Standard Rates
- Leverage: Non-Partner Hours / Partner Hours
- Fee Arrangement: Fee arrangement selected for the matter
- Budget Type: Budget type selected for the matter
- Rate Card: Rate card applied to the matter
