Players

A matter may involve multiple players. Players are additional third parties. Players include opposing counsel, co-counsel, local counsel, accountant, investment banker, witnesses, etc. for a matter.

From the Matter menu drop down, click on Players and Parties. Click on the Players tab.

To add a new Player to the matter, click on the Add Player button on the right.

  1. Make a selection from the Player Role drop-down. The options available in the drop down will be as per the roles set in Admin>External Roles node. The drop-down list will be filtered as you type in. This is a required field.
  2. From the Represent drop-down, select the client, the Player Role is representing.
  3. Select Yes or No from the existing player option. This is a required selection. If the player is already added, select Yes in the existing player option. You can search for the player in the Search Players field. You can filter by All, Company, and Employee. The selected player detail is displayed in the right panel.
  4. Select No to add and create a new player.
  5. Enter the details of the Company in the fields. Company Full Name is a required field. The added company name will be displayed in the field for Player.
  6. Select the Start and End date for the added Player Role.
  7. Click Save. The Player Role is added.

A mouse hover on the added player role will display the Edit and the Delete options.

Tip: In the added Player list, click on the client name to view and update the Client Profile. Click on the player name to view and update the External Person Profile.
