The Matter Rate Card screen shows a list of rates for all applicable persons/fee earner classes, for the specific matter. Rates are shown for the firm standard rate card as well as any matter-specific exception rate cards. In the upper left corner, you have options to filter/sort the list.
Tip: You can set the view mode in Admin: Global Settings>Report Settings: Rate Card Report.
Click the Show Rules button to display a pop-up for the Matter specific exception rate card rules applied.
The list of information is displayed in the following columns:
Column Name | Description |

Person/Fee Class | The Person/Fee Class column will display the names of the matter team members, resources from the budget or those who have time entered for the matter. Mouse hover on the resource name displays a mini user profile. |
Title | Employee's job title/designation. |
Office | Employee office location. |
Class | Employee's fee earner class. |
Effective Card | The effective rate card applied to the matter is displayed. The Discount (%) is calculated as per the View Mode selected. Discount is calculated as Standard Rate minus Effective Rate/ Standard Rate. If negative, percentage is displayed in Red. |
Client Override Card/ Firm Standard Card | This column is displayed as per the View Mode selected. The Client Override card column is displayed if the view mode selected is either Hierarchical or Compared to Client Rate. The Firm Standard Card column is displayed, if the view mode selected is Compared to Firm Rate. |
Tip: You can click the column headers to sort the list by that column, then click the column header again to reverse the sort order.
You can export the list of rates by clicking the drop-down arrow in the upper right corner of the screen, accessing the Report tab, and selecting either Export Rate Card (export what is currently shown on the screen) or Export(export the most recent version of the rate card(s), regardless of what is currently shown on the screen).

A list of rules displays. To add a new rule, click the Add button and fill out any applicable information:
Click Save to add the rule. You can modify an existing rule by clicking the pencil icon, or remove it by clicking the X in the far right column.
The instructions for setting card level parameters are the same as for editing rules, but these parameters apply to everyone included on the rate card rather than just specific people or classes.
A list of persons/classes included on the rate card displays. For each applicable timekeeper, enter the rate that should be applied in the Override Rate field, or enter a discount percentage in the Discount field. Entering a value in one field automatically updates the other. If the Override Rate entered is higher than the Base Rate for this timekeeper, the Discount percentage will be negative.
A list of timekeeper categories included on the rate card displays. Enter a discount percentage for each applicable category.

Tip: You can show / hide the Rate Card page for various users. Admin: Roles>Permission Group> Matter > Can view matter rate card section
