On the Points tab you can manually enter fee earner classes and their associated points (or adjust existing points either by import or manually), manually add and assign points to fee earner classes, define fee earner classes as overhead expenses (if they have not been defined as such), and change overhead allocation weighting points for a selected month, if needed.
To manually create fee earner class points:

The Management Adjustment Import supports the adjustment of points already entered into the system for fee earners in a point-based allocation. Refer to Mapping Overhead Allocation Weighting to Points & Target Types It is used for the purpose of shifting salary and overhead, typically, when a timekeeper has management responsibility.
Some partners also have managing roles. A portion of their comp can be allocated as “overhead” as a direct or indirect expect to by office or at the firm level. If you want allocate 5% of a partner’s compensation as a direct expense to the firm, you can do so in this section. (5% is represented as a 0.05 adjustment).
Adjustment data is imported from an Excel file that will be provided by the firm. Open the Profit Module in Umbria by selecting Profitability from the main menu or from the User Settings menu, and choose the Configuration tab>Settings. The adjustment can also be done manually if only a small number of entries need to be adjusted. See below.
An Excel spreadsheet should include the following columns, in this order:
Note: Column names are case sensitive. They must be maintained as shown, including the order in which they appear.
Note: One of the above needs to be populated: Username or TimekeeperId.

If you are using Capital Point Partner adjustments, you can allocate the cost of all partners either by office or department. This method smooths out capital partner distribution over time instead of using the actual capital partner distribution.
You can filter / sort the list by Allocation Model, Person, Office and Year. To re-calculate capital partner points click the Re-Calculate button, in the Action drop-down menu.
